Problem
Onboarding foster carers involves dozens of forms, third-party checks, training records, and sensitive narrative content. The legacy system was a maze of PDFs and email threads.
Approach
- Dynamic form builder so internal staff create and version assessments without engineering.
- End-to-end onboarding flow with progress tracking and document upload across devices.
- Life-story module, a structured but warm space to capture a young person's history with supporting evidence.
- PWA shell so social workers can keep working in places with patchy connectivity.
Outcome
Replaced a fragmented paper-and-email workflow with a single auditable platform. Staff design and tweak forms themselves; carers move through onboarding without losing track of where they are.
